South Dakota here we come!

Well, we were ready to check out one of the few states we haven't been to, and one of the many national monuments we haven't been to, and just our luck: Mt. Rushmore is not too far away!! (And we had some pretty awesome family to go see it with!) So here are some pictures of our trip to Mr. Rushmore, Rapid City, and the Badlands, enjoy! (The password for the album is "bethandbryon".)

One Year Anniversary (... and yes we got dressed up)!

Hi again from North Dakota,

We are thrilled to remind everyone that we have been married one year already! It has been a crazy, wonderful, and exciting year to say the least, but always amazing. Now we're looking forward to a somewhat less crazy segment of our life as we continue to settle in, but first we took a night off to enjoy some celebration, dinner at the best restaurant around, and a lovely reminder of our wedding and first dance. Take a look! (The password for the album is "bethandbryon").

Claiming our House!

Hello all our family and friends!

We have found that it's one thing to move into a new home, but it's entirely another thing to make that house your own... and that's what we've done now! After nine months of white walls at Vandenberg we were ready for some color... so we painted (and of course we went all out!), and we have officially put up our name placard, and as we were painting our stuff arrived... whew what a busy week! Anyway, as you can imagine we had a ton of fun - so check out the pictures... (The password for the album is "bethandbryon".)

We Moved Again! Here's our new empty home...

With a busy life like ours it's tough to find time to update a blog like this until things slow down a bit... which they have! So here we go:

As you probably already know we left California headed for North Dakota (via Alabama and New York) earlier this year. Well, we've been here three months now and our home is almost completely settled. But, you'll have to wait for furnished pictures because, well, the furnishings are about to be refreshed. So in the meantime... here are some pictures of our empty home (the password for the album is "bethandbryon").

Enjoy!!

Love and miss you all,

On the road again...

Hello all,

We've been on the move again, spending a bit of time in Alabama... and New York... and every state in between (well, almost), and trying to have as much fun as we can!

Here are some pictures of the fun we've had! (The password for the album is "bethandbryon").

Christmas and New Years

Hey all!! Just wanted to reiterate to all of you that we had an amazing 1st Christmas and holiday season this year! Bryon had a couple of weeks off from his training and we had some family (Becky and Katie) in town to the make holidays feel a lot more like home even though we were missing you all like crazy!

Anyway the break was great and we had the chance to drive up California Highway 1 (which is awesome by the way), and stopped to see some elephant seals that only frequent certain beaches, which was way cool... oh, and by the way, we have a dog now... meet Pooka! (She normally looks a lot better, but she had just run amok in the backyard... we have a lot of ground squirrels.)

Right now we are working on getting ready for our move to North Dakota - getting things planned and packing up our stuff. We leave here the second week of March, are stopping in Alabama for training for 6 weeks, and then will get to Minot around mid-May, woohoo :0). Seriously though, it is a little bittersweet, we'll miss our friends here but are looking forward to another new adventure!

We'll be in touch again soon.

With love,
Beth and Bryon

Wedding Party

Hey all.We thought we'd give everyone a look at our wedding party, since there's a lot of people in it many of you probably don't know :-).

(Guys written by Bryon, Ladies written by Beth)

Best Man - Jason

Roommate, fellow AFROTC Cadet, and future Air Force pilot. Hyper? Yeah. Fun? Oh yeah (see first picture - and nobody tell RPI I posted that). Good guy? Definitely.

Matron of Honor - Amanda
Girly, You are my BESTEST BUDDY! The only words I want to leave you with are from our song Always and Forever (BFF) by RAZE:

I will be here always and forever
I'll be here for you
we will be friends
forever and ever

The stars will shine
The moon will glow
The sun will rise
The grass will grow
Some things will never change
Just like me and you
Mountains high and valleys low
I have got to let you know
That I am here for you
Whatever you go through

Troubles come and get you down
I'll always be around to say

CHORUS:
I will be here always and forever
I'll be here for you
we will be friends(strong)
forever and ever

As far back as I can remember
Thirty-one days in the month of December
Life will still go on
But it's just not the same
Miles and miles and miles are between us
Like Earth to Mars and then on to Venus
Although you have gone away
I still see your face

And these memories linger on inside our
hearts always!

CHORUS

Oh Lord, You've answered my prayers
You sent me my best friend

Groomsman - Omar

Lived down the hall from me freshman year. A great friend, good at soccer (even if I can outsprint him), and just cool all around. He's from Trinidad, which is a place where people are a bit (ok, much) more mellow than we are here in the US, which is a great thing, unless you need to be some
where at a certain time (lol, sorry buddy).

Bridesmaid - Katie
Amazing Sister and Friend. I am honored to have her as my FIRST bridesmaid. She and I have had our ups and downs ( as most of you all have seen) and we come out with a few more bruises and wonderful memories. I love you Chicky!! ps. BRYON LOVES ME MORE!!!

Groomsman - Zach
One of Beth's Godbrothers, which is how I met him. A good friend and a fun guy to be around. He can play a mean mini-accordion in a NYC subway too.

Groomsman - Seth
Another of Beth's Godbrothers, which is again how I met him. Haven't seen him as much in recent times, but had some good times in youth group years back.

Junior Groomsman - Kobe

One of Beth's many cousins - son of Jeremy and Jessie.

Bridesmaid - Stephanie
This Kansas girl has really impacted my life from the first time I met her (at Keuka College 8/06). She has been an AMAZING inspiration and WONDERFUL "Sista" in Christ. She has been a blessing from God and an encouragement that words cannot describe.

Bridesmaid - Amy
This Gorgeous Lady has been an AMAZING strength to me and the other "Sistas." Although newly inducted to the family of Christ, she has made huge steps forwards and usually gives me a run for my money. If I ever need help she is always there for me. Plus she has this God-given gift for numbers. (Seriously...if you ever need help in the math department...SHE MAJORED IN IT!) I Love you Sista!!

Bridesmaid - Jane
This Girl is the Flava of our Sistahood. She is full of "life" with the energy of a herd of elephants to boot! Her vivaciousness for life and for God is uplifting. She is a wonderful addition from Jamaica, such an integral part of God's amazing creation. Not to mention she LOVES to dance as much as I do!! This girl .... well the picture says it all and so much more. JANE, my homeslice, I LOVE YOU!

Bridesmaid - Jasmine
Jasmine is the youngest “sista” in the sista-hood. She was the last one to join but she is certainly not the least among us. She has a good heart and is willing to do whatever she can to bless another. I will certainly miss all the long talks in my dorm room, late night fried dough, and take-out Chinese runs when we were “on-duty” together. “Sista” you know that you will always have a special place in my life no matter how far apart we are.

Junior Bridesmaid - Krista
My mentee and friend. I met her at Psalty and we've been buds ever since.

Engaged!

We're engaged! (As if you didn't already know.) If you missed it, an announcement was published in the April 9th Times Journal - with the following picture.

More info about the wedding will be posted here as things roll around.

Lata,
Beth and Bryon
